GLEISGENAU

Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-16. This policy applies to the app “Gleisgenau” and this website.

2. In short

We do not collect personal data about you. The app has no account, shows no advertising in this version, contains no trackers and does not pass any game data to us or to third parties.

3. Data that stays on your device

The app stores its save data locally on your device: level reached, stars, game coins, settings (sound, haptics, color help, language), progress in the tutorial, quests, challenges and badges, and the unlocked locos, horns and stickers.

This data does not leave your device and is not linked to your name or to you as a person. You can view and delete it in the app under “Settings → Privacy settings”. Uninstalling the app removes it (backups of your device, such as iCloud, excepted).

4. App updates through Expo

At launch the app asks the “EAS Update” service of Expo Technologies, Inc. (USA) whether a new program version (for example bug fixes or new levels) is available. For technical reasons this transmits your IP address, plus the app version, the platform and the identifier of the current program version. No game data is transmitted.

The purpose is operating and maintaining the app. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a working, up-to-date app). The data may be transferred to the USA; the safeguards under Chapter V GDPR apply (EU standard contractual clauses or the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

5. App Store

You download the app through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes data under its own responsibility (for example Apple ID, payment data, device identifiers). We have no influence on that. From Apple we only receive aggregated statistics (such as download numbers) and crash reports from users who agreed to share them with developers.

6. This website

When you visit the website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) stores server log files for technical reasons (IP address, time, page requested, browser details). This serves security and operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no fonts or scripts from third-party servers. The try-out level on the home page runs entirely in your browser: it stores nothing and sends nothing to us.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to mail@michaelklomfass.de for this. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example where you live.

8. Children

The app does not collect data from children. Parents can let them play without concern; purchases are not possible in this version.

9. Changes

When the app gets new features (such as advertising or purchases), we will update this policy beforehand and point it out in the app.
